In Bhutan, Zhemgang was earlier known as Shemgang. It is one of the 20 dzongkhags (districts) of Bhutan. This place is located south of Trongsa in the south central region of Bhutan. The region is traditionally known as Kheng and its natives and local people speak the Khengpa language. This place or district consists of the following 8 village blocks. The area of these 8 blocks is 2125 square km.
