Looking for adventure? A delightful glass skywalk is now looming over the valley of the city of Qingyuan in southern China’s Guangdong province, a perfect thing to add to your bucket list. This unique attraction opened to the public on Thursday and people who have already seen it can’t stop talking about it!
Would you dare to walk on the world’s largest glass skywalk in China?
Walking on this bridge is thrilling and requires courage for people to climb up and enjoy the beauty of the Qingyuan Valley. This is a great way for tourists to overcome their fear of heights.
“No! I don’t have the courage anymore,” screamed a frightened tourist lying on the glass floor and refusing to get up. “I’m so scared. I will answer you only after reaching that end. “I’m so nervous,” exclaimed another, when asked how the experience had been so far.
This bridge is 202 meters long with a huge circular deck hanging at its end whose diameter is approximately 16.8 meters. This glass bridge extends 72 meters out from the cliff edge, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surroundings.
What exactly is this glass skywalk?
The bridge claims to be the world’s largest and tallest glass structure and the skywalk allows approximately 99.15 percent of sunlight to pass through, giving tourists clear panoramic views of the cliffs and the 131-meter-high waterfall below.
Security concerns? Don’t worry. The authorities have ensured that the ramp is completely safe, with each glass piece weighing approximately 4.5 tonnes, which is strong enough to easily hold the weight of two vehicles together!
