The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to launch a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa. The UAE government, by launching this new tourism initiative, which will make it easier for tourists to come and visit the country.
The initiative aims at encouraging more tourists to come to the UAE and spend their money in the country. It also seeks to ensure that all those who want to visit the UAE can do so smoothly. It focuses mainly on Indian Travellers, who made the highest number of visits to UAE, mainly Dubai.
Starting from October 30, Airbus A380 by Emirates airlines which will be operational from Bengaluru to Dubai is expecting traffic from tourists and business flyers.
Bader Ali Habib, South Asia International Operations region head of Dubai department of economy and tourism said that over 8.5 Indians visited Dubai from January to June and this new initiative of a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa will attract more tourists from India, especially from Bengaluru. He also added that the number of Indian travelers visiting Dubai shows that the travelers are returning to their favorite destination post-pandemic after we have given relaxation in most covid rules.
As per sources, there is no plan of introducing E- visa services as of now. Currently, Indians who are flying to UAE have an option of a 30 to 90-day visa which is getting processed within 72 hours after applying through authorized mediums.
There is a fresh pattern of Indian travelers which has been observed by Dubai Tourism in a survey that many tourists are booking wellness, adventure and gastronomy packages two to three months in advance. Mainly from Bangalore, Dubai is also expecting traffic of football fans, visiting the neighboring region, Qatar, for FIFA Worldcup in November.
