TravelCon Update: New Speakers, Sponsors, Workshops, and More!
Job: 03/10/22 | March 10, 2022
In less than two months, our major travel conference, TravelCon, kicks off! TravelCon is a three-day conference that will connect the media with industry leaders, influencers and celebrity writers through keynote speeches, small group writing and photography workshops, small group tutorials, networking events and industry panels.
So, if you’re in the travel industry, this conference is the place to meet brands, connect with your peers, and learn practical, accurate strategies for growing your audience, increasing your traffic, improving your skills, and making more money.
This year’s conference will run from April 29 to May 1, 2022 in Memphis, Tennessee, hosted by Memphis Tourism.
We have a ton of updates for you since we last wrote a month ago:

Program
Our schedule is online! Click here to see how the days will break down, what the speakers are talking about and what you will learn at each conference. We have three days of very robust programming designed to educate you and help you learn what you need to know to grow professionally, grow your career, and earn more money.
We still have a discussion about reels, how the TikTok algorithm works, course creation, and upcoming physical products as well!
Sponsors
We will have close to 40 sponsors at this year’s event! You will be able to attend meetings, network and strike deals with all of them! Here is a list of those who have come so far:
Host Sponsor
Sponsors
We still have more on the way! Some other sponsors that are confirmed but don’t have their logos yet include Alabama Tourism, Banff Tourism, Crabtree & Everlyn, Safety Wing, Get Your Guide, Go Rving, Seeker, and TripActions!
Workshop information
As we have done in past years, we are going to have photography and writing workshops. These are half-day, intensive and practical courses that will take place the day before the main event (April 28). Seating is limited to 20 people per class and these workshops incur an additional cost of US$99.
You can find out more about the Writing Workshop Facilitators by clicking here (we are still lining up our Photography Workshop Facilitators). Registration will open on March 28.
Some other highlights
There’s a bunch of other cool stuff happening at this year’s TravelCon, including:
- Over 15 niche meet-ups
- Two awesome parties
- A scavenger hunt around Memphis
- Pre and post-conference familiarization trips around Memphis and area
- And a few other surprises that I don’t want to spoil!
If you are a travel creator, you must be at TravelCon! I created it as a way to tap into experts inside and outside the travel sphere who can help you grow your business, earn more money, and improve your skills. It’s lifelong learning that will help you transform your career.
So come to this event, mingle with your peers, strike deals with sponsors, and make the connections you need to succeed.
You can get your ticket here.
See you in Memphis!

Book your trip: logistical tips and tricks
Book your flight
Find a cheap flight using Skyscanner or Momondo. They are my two favorite search engines because they search websites and airlines all over the world, so you always know that no stone is left unturned.
Book your accommodation
You can book your hostel with Hostelworld. If you want to stay somewhere other than a hostel, use Booking.com as they consistently have the cheapest rates for guesthouses and budget hotels.
Don’t forget travel insurance
Travel insurance will protect you against illness, injury, theft and cancellations. It’s complete protection in case something goes wrong. I never go on a trip without it as I had to use it many times in the past. My favorite companies that offer the best service and value are:
- SafetyWing (best for everyone)
- Insure my trip (for people over 70)
- Medjet (for additional escape coverage)
Ready to book your trip?
Check out my resource page for the best companies to use when traveling. I list all the ones I use when I travel. They are best in class and you can’t go wrong using them on your trip.
