Long flights can be boring, uncomfortable, and excruciatingly slow. But it’s a necessary evil for most of us. We may not like it, but we have to do it.
Here, the good news is that there are ways to make them better. Here are some tips for surviving painfully long flights:
1) Eat healthy food:
You’ll feel better if you eat healthy food on the plane. It will help you digest easily, and keep your energy level high during the flight. Avoid fried foods and oily dishes as they tend to make you feel bloated during a long-haul flight. Instead, opt for salads or soups with plenty of water and juices to cleanse your system.
2) Stay hydrated:
Don’t forget to drink plenty of water while flying as dehydration can cause headaches, fatigue, and other unpleasant symptoms during a long-haul flight. Avoid coffee and tea as they tend to dehydrate your body further. Drink at least 3-4 glasses of water every hour during the flight for optimal hydration levels in your body.
3) Take off those shoes:
If you are traveling in economy class, take off your shoes when possible so that your feet get some space to breathe freely without getting squished by other passengers’ bags underneath the seat in front of.
4) Plan your trip properly:
If you are going on a long flight, it is important that before you start packing up your bags, plan as well. You should have a clear idea of how much time you need for getting ready and what things you need to carry along with you. If possible, try not to pack too many things. It will only add weight to your luggage and make it more difficult for you to carry them around while on the plane.
5) Bring along some entertainment:
To kill time during long flights, it is always better if you have some entertainment options available at hand as well. This can be done by bringing along some books or magazines or even laptops or tablets with movies and music stored in them so that they can be used while on the plane as well! This way, passengers will not feel bored and lonely while sitting inside their seats during this tedious journey!
6) Dress comfortably:
While traveling wearing loose-fitting clothes made from natural fabrics like cotton or wool which help your skin breathe better than synthetic materials like polyester or nylon which trap body heat inside them leading to excessive sweating and causing an uncomfortable feeling when sitting for long hours under artificial conditions in aircraft cabins (with poor ventilation).
7) Eat light snacks:
Such as nuts or other dried fruits that contain vitamins and minerals but are low in calories and sugar content so that it doesn’t make you feel full during the flight.
8) Try to sleep as soon as possible Sleeping on the plane helps reduce pressure on joints and muscles.
9) Avoid caffeine and alcohol before the flight because they dehydrate you further.
10) Stretch your legs and Use earplugs if you’re sensitive to engine noise.
