NYC Nightlife, Nightclubs, Restaurants, Bars – Our Guide To New York City Entertainment

Despite the city becoming larger and building its nightlife more for tourists, New York is still full of nightlife for locals and travelers. New York has been known as the hub of the jazz world since all the greats have made their name here and above and those who arrive know that this is the right place to do it. New York also has some of the hottest and most exclusive discos in the world. There are many salons, so in New York there are many places to find a nice comfortable place to sit, drink and listen to music. New York caters to all ages of revelers, hosts the widest range of concerts by world-renowned musicians and is world famous for the comedy clubs that the most famous comedians from around the world call home.

We went on a Friday night looking for a night club with a cool atmosphere and someone recommended us ace of night clubs, so we got into a taxi and $ 40 after we got to the ace of clubs. When we crossed the threshold, things didn’t seem like our style. It was a little noisy and the drinks were a little expensive. So we went back to our hotel looking for something better.

On the way to the hotel we asked the woman at the reception to recommend a night club and she told us to check ploose which I believe is a new nightlife directory which was super easy. We typed in New York City, we chose a nightclub, which showed a bunch right on the map. So we chose the closest one that said there were specials to drink, since we had already spent so much on taxis, we got off and headed over. When we got there it was EXACTLY as shown on that ploose site (we had seen a couple of video tours so we knew what to expect). We went in and got a table, bought a bottle of gray goose and had a great time. It was called “The Pink Elephant” (name of the disco). We had a great time and went back to our hotel to pass out.

We spent the next day doing tourist things, visiting 5th Avenue, walking through Manhattan, stopping for lunch in a couple of random restaurants and when the night went around we were exhausted. We decided we needed something a little more discreet, so we checked ploose again and found a small lounge nearby and decided to give it a try. It was called Sapphire Lounge. It had a really classic decor, a bit like a party in your living room. The red curtains were fantastic! There was this trendy DJ playing house music and the prices were very reasonable. We highly recommend it.

Sunday came and we wanted to watch the football game, so we opened a sports bar nearby. We found Proof NYC and let me tell you, I was REALLY glad I went there. It had a HUGE TV and I’m talking like 8 feet long – this TV wasn’t a joke. The bar had wooden floors and scarlet walls. They also had some beer specials that day, so we got lucky. We ordered food and sipped our drinks while enjoying our last day in New York City.

Before leaving the city definitively, we had time to stop in a jazz bar called “Blue Note”. It was one of the best jazz bars I have ever been to in the world and for all jazz fans, I highly recommend it. It was about half or more of capacity but not too crowded, beautifully decorated and the musicians in the window made us crazy!

In summary, New York City has a VERY wide range of entertainment selections to offer. Next time we will go to check out the Opera and Broadway and give you our advice there.

Work hard, party more and go home safely.
