Kozhikode: If you are an adventure seeker, then you must visit Kerala’s Tusharagiri in Kerala, this August. The 8th edition of the Malabar River Festival will be held in August 2022. The Kerala Tourism Department is gearing up for a kayaking adventure in Thusharagiri, Kozhikode, Kerala, from August 12 to 14.
This white water kayaking championship is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Every year, this time of the year the Malabar River Festival is organized by the Kerala Tourism Department in collaboration with the District Tourism Promotion Board and Kozhikode District Panchayat.
Following the Corona, the Malabar River Competition, a two-year-old worldwide kayaking competition, will kick off on August 12 in Thushargiri. Minister PA Mohammad Riyaz mentioned that more than 100 kayakers from 20 international nations and about 200 kayakers from totally different parts of India and the state will compete during the three-day occasion. Thusharagiri had hosted the competition on seven occasions till 2019. This would be the 8th edition in 2022, after two years of hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
