The tallest statue in the world is the Statue of Unity, a 182.5 meterstall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is known as the “Unifier of India”.The statue is located in Gujarat’s Narmada district at an elevation of 514 meters (1,690 feet) above sea level. The statue is made up of tons of steel and bronze and was completed in 2018.

The Spring Temple Buddha is a statue located in Lushan County, Henan province, China. It was the tallest statue in the world in 2018 until India created the Statue of Unity. The name Spring Temple Buddha is inspired by the nearby Tianrui hot spring, which is known for its curative properties. The statue is made up of Gold, copper alloy, and steel. This statue has lotus shaped multi-story base called a diamond seat, which embraces the Buddhist sacred monastery.

3) Laykyun Sekkya, Myanmar (115.8 m):
Laykyun Sekkya statue is situated in Maha Bodhi Tahtaung, which is a Buddhist religious complex in Monywa township, Myanmar. This statue depicting the scene of Mahaparinirvana is a standing buddha statue, right next to the reclining Buddha statue, which was built in 1991. Laykyun Sekkya was the tallest statue in the world for a few months until the completion of Spring Temple Buddha in 2008.

4) Birth of the New World (110 m):
The statue depicts Columbus discovering America and is one of the most recognizable images of Puerto Rico. Birth of the New World is made up of tonnes of bronze and is considered the tallest statue in the western hemisphere. It’s on the Atlantic coastline of Arecibo which gives a beautiful picturesque view. The birth of New World statue was designed by Georgian sculptor Zurab Tsereteli in 1991 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s first expedition. Tsereteli offered this statue to Baltimore, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale New York City, and Columbus, Ohio, but all of them rejected and denied to take this by giving some other reasons like its size is huge it will impact the skyline, etc. Later, Catano, Puerto Rico accepted it but due to its heavy weight, it costs around 2.4 million dollars to just import this statue.

It is a tall statue of Lord Shiva, who is considered to be the third most important deity in the Hindu pantheon after Vishnu and Brahma. Statue of Belief is the tallest Shiva statue in the world and the 5th tallest Statue in the world. The height of lord shiva’s Trishul is 315 feet long and the whole statue is made up of tonnes of steel. This statue can be seen from a distance of 20 km as well.
