Now the passengers can enjoy the scenic beauty between the Pune- Mumbai- Pune route with the introduction of the vista dome coaches for the first time in an express train, Indian railways resumed the train facilities of the Pune-Mumbai-Pune Pragati Express on July 25, 2022.
The Pragati Express will leave from Pune at 7:50 am and will reach Mumbai’s Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 11:25 am via Panvel-Karjat taking a halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Karjat, Lonavala, and Shivaji Nagar stations as per Central Railways.
This is the third train on Pune- Mumbai route which has an amazing vista dome coach facility for a better and more memorable experience for its passengers. The other two have the same amazing vista domes coaches are Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express, and Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen.
Central Railways shared the news by tweeting, “Now, Relish the beauty of nature through Vistadome coach of Pragati Express. Vistadome coach attached for the first time in Pune-Mumbai Pragati Express today. This is the 3rd Vistadome coach attached between Pune & Mumbai after Deccan Express & Deccan Queen Express,”.
The Pune-Mumbai-Pune Pragati Express has 14-coach which will run with a Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) rake, which Indian railways are using since 2000 after they were developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch of Germany and which are considered as more comfortable in comparison with the traditional coaches.
With this, the Indian Central Railway now has 4 trains running with amazing Vistadome coaches which are as follows:
- Mumbai-Pune Pragati Express
- Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen
- Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express, and
- Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express
