Go off the grid with Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle
Engulfed in magical bamboo jungles and separated from Myanmar and Laos by the gurgling sounds of the Ruak and Mekong rivers, the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle captures the life of an adventurer – ready to explore the luxury of a glamping Four experience. Seasons. From spectacular mountain trails and bike tours to riverside picnics and private sunsets, guests can spend a day exploring the Golden Triangle and relaxing in the privacy of luxury tents .
Leave the gadgets behind
“Digital maps cannot replicate the charm of an old-fashioned compass,” smiles Camp Manager Tobias Emmer. “Channel the adventurer in you while making things happen, in retro style – our experts have crafted the perfect itinerary to experience the confluence of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos like an explorer from a bygone era!
In this age of hyper-connectivity and constant updates, being online 24/7 is inevitable – and also far from ideal. With studies showing the damaging effects on our brains and nervous systems, it’s even more important to make disconnecting a habit. The paradox of our hyper-connected world can be a very antisocial party, spending more hours on our gadgets than you’d like to admit. “Instead, follow the compass (and your camp guide) to find yourself in the perfect spot for a riverside dinner,” Tobias shares. As the sun sets over the Ruak River, enjoy camp-style cocktails and a barbecue dinner in a setting straight out of an explorer’s handbook.
At camp, going #OffTheGridWithFS is key to enjoying the day. From fishing with the locals to riverside picnics to hillside bike rides, the team invites travelers to unplug and make a memorable connection to the destination that is the Golden Triangle in Thailand.
“We offer a unique opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the local culture,” adds Tobias, “These experiences are a blend of adventure, cultural exploration and relaxation, tailored to your travel style. Stay a little longer and experience more. And, luxury tented accommodation with breakfast gives guests every reason to do so.
Immersion in nature
Sunrise and sunset are gifts given by nature every day. But with busy work schedules, we are rarely inspired by these natural phenomena. The solution? “Wake up early, hike up to our Camp Peak, the highest point of the campsite, and take in stunning views of the sun rising over the Mekong and the Laos mountains around quarter past six in the morning,” smiles Tobias, “Don’t worry if you’re not a morning person like me!” You can enjoy the cool evening breeze and a magical sunset around six while sipping cocktails. ”
Speaking of sunset, Camp offers delicious sunset cocktails at various locations – atop the fully restored Land Rover, on a private patio with stunning views of the setting sun, or even under the tent.
Take the time to connect
As part of the Camp experience, guests are invited to collect a stamp after completing an activity to receive surprises – 5 stamps for a private camp lunch, 10 stamps to enter a raffle to win a free night on next visit and Suite.
“Let us organize your tailor-made trip. Tag @fstentedcamp and #OffTheGridWithFS on your social media posts to participate, ”says Tobias. “Book a night or two. But beware: this could be the start of a long love affair with the bamboo jungles, ”he smiles.
