Flipkart is entering the hospitality business in a big way. Flipkart has forayed into the hospitality business by launching domestic and international hotel bookings. The company launched the feature recently as it seeks to expand its services beyond e-commerce.
With the help of Cleartrip’s API, Flipkart Hotels will get the advantage from Cleartrip’s profound understanding of travel clientele and segments. The point to note here is that the newly launched Flipkart Hotels will allow its customers to book 3 lakh hotel rooms including domestic and international hotels.
“We are excited to launch Flipkart Hotels on the Flipkart app, which will provide access to affordable hotel stays convenient for the customers. Flipkart Flight is on a steady path of growth in the travel industry since we entered this space,” Adarsh Menon, who is a Senior Vice President at Flipkart stated.
Further, he added that “With Flipkart Hotels, we are strengthening our commitment to provide a better experience and superior service to our customers across metros and beyond tiers. With our banking partner’s financial offerings, the customers will unlock great value in this segment and enhance Flipkart’s capabilities as a preferred one-stop shop for the travel booking needs of Indian customers.”
Flipkart said, with the launch of Flipkart hotels, the company mentioned that it aims to provide easy EMI options, flexible booking, travel-related schemes, etc to make it easy for their customers to travel affordably with budget-friendly options. With this, the app promised to provide a smooth booking experience and communication. Also, a dedicated customer care center by Flipkart has been set up to solve users’ queries.
