Dreaming of vegan fine dining in Bangkok

Life has changed. Currently surrounded by uncertainty and anxiety, many of us are struggling to cope with this unprecedented pandemic. Health problems, economic impact, social remoteness, lockouts and global travel restrictions are all part of life as we know it. We can only hope that in the not too distant future we will be able to visit friends and family again while looking back on this period and reflecting on its global impact. In the meantime, we think back to our last trip before COVID-19 put an end to any new trip and dream of vegan gastronomy in Bangkok. I hope it doesn’t take too long for us to visit these restaurants again and savor their herbal creations…

Nahm

Located in the upscale Metropolitan Hotel and run by chef Pim Techamuanvivit, Nahm continued to attract guests to this award-winning restaurant. Launched by a renowned chef, David Thompson has been regularly rewarded since its creation in 2010; it currently ranks 22nd among the top 50 restaurants in Asia and has won a Michelin star in each of the past 3 years. They offer a multi-course botanical menu that is perfectly herbal. Seasonal ingredients are used in a selection of traditional dishes with modern touches that elevate them to the level you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

Chef Jackie Ho and his team serve dishes that are both beautifully presented and filled with incredible flavors. The exquisite cuisine combined with the refined atmosphere and the elegant service make Mei Jiang a favorite of the most demanding guests. As part of the excellent Green Monday initiative, you can taste dishes using the innovative OmniMeat and a selection of new herbal dishes which should be added soon.
